RUSSIAN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AT A GLANCE: 2009

Data Book. – Moscow: CSRS, 2009.

The Data Book includes inter alia main S&T indicators of the Russian Federation in 2000–08 and results of innovation activities in industry and services in 2005–08. The Data Book includes three new sections: Nanotechnology; Academy, University, and Departmental R&D Sectors; and Sociological Aspects. The presented information is based on state-of-the-art methodological approaches towards R&D statistics and meets the requirements of international statistical standards. The Data Book materials are based on the data of the Federal State Statistics Service (for 2008 as of 20 October 2009), the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks (Rospatent), the Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS, the OECD, and original methodological techniques of the CSRS. In some cases, the presented data specify those published earlier.
